The Song Writer supports you as a piano player as well as a player of a stringed instrument like a guitar with multiple options.

Chord gallery

Normally the Song Writer shows the chord charts for your stringed instrument in a horizontally scrollable gallery. But if you are a piano player, enable the Piano mode in the settings. Then you’ll always get piano chord charts. This applies to all songs without exception. No matter for which string instrument and tuning they have been used so far. In Piano mode, you cannot switch to any other stringed instrument or tuning. If you deactivate Piano mode again, your songs will be set to your stringed instrument again.

Integrated piano

You can fade in the integrated piano to find a melody playing with the chords or scales notes.

Play with the scale

Experiment with the scale that results from song and open the playground or piano with the selected scale directly from the menu.
