Select a song for analysis

Use the toolbar to select a song for analysis:

• Use the ‘Folder’ button to open a song from your Songbook
• Search for a song on the internet with the internet song search
• Copy a song from another app or browser to the clipboard and paste the song from the clipboard into the song analyzer

Analysis result

The result of the analysis is a song summary and a summary for each chord progression of the song.

Song summary

The song summary lists every chord of the song. This could be more chords than the chords from the recognized chord progressions, as not every chord of a song is part of a progression. You can click every chord to get a dialog with the chord diagram. The dialog also allows you to hear the chord or to open the detail screen for the chord.

The summary shows also the key of the song. Click on the key to show it in the scale tool.

Chord progression summary

The song analyzer creates a summary for every recognized chord progression. They are sorted by the number of occurrences. The summary lists every chord of the chord progression. You can click every chord to get a dialog with the chord diagram. The dialog also allows you to hear the chord or to open the detail screen for the chord.

The summary shows also the key of the chord progression. Click on the key to show it in the scale tool.
